Fernhallow Vets ("we") looks after your details and your pet’s clinical records. This page explains what we hold, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
Your name, address, phone number and email; your pet’s name, species, breed, age and medical history; and payment and insurance details when you pay or claim. If you use the booking form we receive what you type into it.
Why we use it
- To treat your pet and keep accurate clinical records, as our professional rules require.
- To send reminders for vaccinations, health checks and treatments, which you can switch off at any time.
- To take payment and deal with insurance claims you ask us to make.
- To send our monthly email, only if you sign up.
Who we share it with
Your insurer when you ask us to claim; referral hospitals and laboratories when your pet needs them; the microchip database for chips we fit; and our practice-management and email providers, under contract. We never sell your details.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are kept for [record retention period] after your pet’s last visit, then deleted. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it.
Your rights
